Energy, Water and Sanitation Authority “EWSA” introduces the new electricity tariff for all industries.
This will help industries to be more competitive in terms of reducing cost of electricity and give them opportunities to the regional market. This tariff will give Industrial Customers a privilege to choose freely what range of tariff preferred to minimize the production costs. The consumptions of our industrials customers will be calculated based on the following range:
Customer Impact As mentioned above Industrial Customers Contributes 30% towards the Total Electricity Consumption within Rwanda. The Top 5 Industrial Customers Contributes 40% towards the Industrial Consumption within Rwanda. The implementation of the new tariff structure is effective from 1st May 2012. |
